Each year, Washington Youth Soccer sets the earliest allowed tryout date for each age group, following quickly after the end of state cup for that age group. In general, all premier and select clubs try to hold their tryouts on the first possible weekend after that date. In cases where players try out for multiple clubs, it is bad for both players and clubs not to have tryouts on a common weekend.
Even without vacation conflicts, every year there are unavoidable issues related to injuries and illness on tryout days. Our coaching staff has developed a process to accommodate players that might have to miss tryouts. If you are a player that has missed your tryout times, please contact the applicable coach and they can assist you with an additional tryout and information. Watch our web site for updated information on teams looking for additional players. If you have additional questions with regards to tryouts or other related questions, please contact our Director of Development. Please include your player name and current team.

Question: MYSC, TFA and North Sound Soccer Club?
Answer: We have now combined into 1 club… Pilchuck Soccer Alliance (PSA) and we will be providing REC and select soccer to the Marysville, Arlington and Lakewood area.
Q: Do the players have to be at all 3 tryouts date?
A: No, but this is when the players and coaches can make their decisions and the more time together the better.
Q: Can players tryout for more than one team?
A: Yes, as long as the tryout dates are different and please let the coaches know right away.
Q: Can a player tryout even if they don’t want to play select soccer?
A: Yes, tryouts are free so there is nothing to lose but please let the coaches know up front.
Q: Do you play all year long and what about other sports?
A: Yes and no, it will depend on the team you are on and you always have the right to say that you only want to play the fall season. Last year most of the teams played fall outdoor, winter indoor and spring outdoor. Practice will be June till December, games September till December with 2 summer tournaments. We want kids to be kids and try other sports (although I can’t understand why anyone would play anything but soccer…LOL).
Q: Do high school girls have a different schedule?
A: Yes, they will train through the summer and stop mid-August (for HS soccer) and start again towards the end of November. Games will start in January. It’s more of a winter league. No, it’s not cold that time of the year!!
Q: What is the cost and what does it cover?
A: U10-U16 boys & U10-U14 girls $537 per player…This will cover club registration, Adidas uniforms (2 game jersey’s, 2 practice jersey’s & a scrimmage vest, shorts, pair of socks, sweatpants, jacket and a backpack) fall state/league fees, Ref’s, practice/game fields (grass and turf) and 2 tournaments.
Spring soccer is $128 per player and State Cup is $62 per player. The cost are broken apart so that each team can make plans for what they want to do and how much they want to fundraise for. With no fundraising and to play year round soccer it will cost $727 per player but almost every team did fundraising last year.
U15-U19 girls $572… This will cover club registration, Adidas uniforms (2 game jersey’s, 2 practice jersey’s & a scrimmage vest, shorts, pair of socks, sweatpants, jacket and a backpack), winter state/league fees, Ref’s, practice/game fields (grass and turf….lots of turf) this does not cover tournaments because they do a lot of collage showcase tournaments so each teams tournament fees will be different.
Q: How do I get started?
A: Go to www.marysvillesoccer.com and keep an eye out for our new website (pilchucksocceralliance.com) that should be up and running in the next week or so.
