Q: Who is PSA Force?
Answer: Pilchuck Soccer Alliance (PSA) Formally Marysville Youth Soccer, TFA and North Sound Soccer Club Legacy, is a new joint venture soccer club that is a combination of players from the Marysville, Arlington and Lakewood area. Force is a select soccer program that is a part of PSA. Between TFA, Legacy, and Force there are decades of select soccer within our clubs and by joining forces we have been able to put together quality teams that have competed with some of the top teams in the state.
Q: Do players have to be at all 3 tryouts date?
A: No, but this is when the players and coaches can make their decisions and the more time together the better.
Q: Can players tryout for more than one team?
A: Yes, as long as the tryout dates are different and please let the coaches know right away.
Q: Can a player tryout even if they don’t want to play select soccer?
A: Yes, tryouts are free so there is nothing to lose but please let the coaches know up front.
Q: Do you play all year long and what about other sports?
A: It can, practice will start in June and go into December, games start in September and will go into December with 2 summer tournaments. Spring and state cup practices will start in January and most teams will do one or the other. Depending on how far a team gets in state cup will determine how long their season is. For 2015 no player is required to play both fall and spring but it will be encouraged. If a player takes on another sport in January-April while the playing select soccer we require that they make at least one soccer practice a week.
Q: Do high school girls and boy have a different schedule?
A: Yes, they will train through the summer and stop mid-August (for HS soccer) and start again towards the end of November. Games will start in January. It’s more of a winter league. No, it’s not cold that time of the year!! Boys would train through summer to the end of Fall. They break during the Spring for HS Soccer.
Q: How many days a week do we practice.
A: Through the summer most teams practice only twice a week but September - November we will add Friday night trainings for U11 and up which means 3 times a week.
Q: How far do we travel for games.
A: This depends on who sings up but last year the fastest any team went was Kent.
